Self-reliance

I have not completely learned how to rely on myself. I still have those moments, where I need someone for emotional support. Being yourself and not conforming to society is a little hard. I have managed though, but it's getting tougher. Funny thing is, I heard a quote today, the quote said: "Everything in life, worth something, isn't easy to grasp." That is so true, for my own identity I wish forever to keep, but sometimes you lose yourself. It's a constant fight.

I will never get those who choose to move along with society. Emerson was the same. Why go along with society? What does it have to offer that individuality does not? Fitting in? Trust me, being an individual doesn't mean not having friends by your side. It means, following your heart, and not having your judgement impaired by some hooligan. "High be his heart, faithful his will, clear his sight, that he may in good earnest be doctrine, society, law, to himself, that a simple purpose may be to him as strong as iron necessity to others."
